Abstract:
Provided is a method for synthesizing m-phenylenediamine. The method involves synthesizing iso-phthalimide from m-phthalodinitrile, anhydrous sodium carbonate and hydrogen peroxide, as raw materials, under the action of a catalyst; and then reacting the iso-phthalimide with sodium hypochlorite, and after the reaction is complete, adding an antioxidant to the reaction product for post-treatment to obtain the m-phenylenediamine. The method has an easy synthesis process and post-treatment process, effectively solves the problem of m-phenylenediamine being easily oxidized and low in quality, has a yield of up to 95% or more and a purity of up to 99% or more, has significantly reduced production costs, and meets the market demand for high-quality m-phenylenediamine.
