Abstract:
The present invention relates to the field of IC card payment, and provides a method and system for automatically recharging an IC card. The method comprises: setting an automatic recharge associated account of an IC card, and storing associated information in a background clearing system of the IC card, the IC card having an overdraft function, and the automatic recharge associated account referring to a payment account in which an IC card user allows the background clearing system of the IC card to automatically settle overdraft consumption of the IC card; the IC card communicating with a card-reading consumption terminal to complete IC card payment; automatically pre-charging the IC card according to a set pre-charge amount when the balance in the IC card is less than a preset recharge threshold; and the background clearing system of the IC card completing automatic settlement in the automatic recharge associated account according to the number of times the IC card is automatically pre-charged and the set pre-charge amount. The method for automatically recharging an IC card provided by the present invention can greatly enhance a cardholder's IC card recharge and payment experience, and better comply with the current development trend of micropayment.
