Abstract:
A method and system for charging according to the flow of the Multimedia Broadcast/Multicast
Service (MBMS) is provided. The method includes: the Service Announcement that
the MBMS central sends to a user terminal contains the data items indicating that
the business may be charged according to the flow; if a user selects charging according
to the flow while ordering the business, a tag requesting the user terminal to
return the flow and the charge manner of the user terminal are sent to the user terminal;
the user terminal stores the flow information corresponding to the business
while receiving the business, and sends a charging request to the charging system
by different policy according to the charging manner; and the charging system
performs the charging according to the flow information.
