Method and system for compensated sealing of large-size tanks seat, especially for liquid fuels
The subject of the invention is the method and system for compensated sealing of large-size container seats, especially for fluid fuels, and especially for storage of crude oil.
There is known, from the polish patent description No 149132, method for weather protection of construction elements joint; vertical and horizontal, based on fastening the protection strip over the protected joint. This method is characterized in that the protection strip fasted to vertical construction element has the ,,U" cross section, with outside flared side walls, and after fastening, the sealer is being placed on upper and lower shelf.
There are known compensated joints, where the gaps between vertical tank wall are filled with special compounds, for eg. silicone and sealed with sealers based on bituminous compounds, as well as joints where gaps are filled with spherical aggregates, as leca /light expanded clay aggregate/, and protected by foils glued to vertical walls of tank.
There is known from patent description USA No 5 457 919 the bottom of sedimentation tank, where the vertical metal tank wall is insulated from his concrete bottom by plastic band, whereas the joint corner is filled by plastic compound, like a putty. On the outer side of band there is a layer of glass fiber mat, soaked on horizontal surface and partly on short segment of vertical wall with epoxide resin.
Method for compensated searing of large-size tanks, especially for fluid fuels, according to invention, based on placing the sealer on the joint of vertical tank wall with the ground, is characterized in that around the tank, on the oblique sur-
face of light spherical aggregates, beneficially leca, layer of unwoven fabric is being placed, beneficially propylene, at the same moment the upper segment of fabric is being joint, beneficially by glue with the vertical tank wall, and the lower segment of fabric is being joint with the horizontal surface of the drainage. Next, on the surface of fabric and vertical segment of tank wall, located above the upper segment of fabric as well as on the segment of drainage, ground coat is being applied, beneficially polyurethane. Objective of the ground coat is to increase the adherence of elastomer layer, especially polyurea. In the next step, on the ground coat, the layer of elastomer is being produced, especially polyurea. The layer of elastomer is being produced manually using a brush or by airless spraying, at the temperature of 60 0 C to 80 0 C, and pressure ca. 170 atm. Beneficially, to prevent accumulation of electric charge on the sealing layer, antistatic layer is produced on the polyurea elastomer layer. hi case of tank renovation, in the first step before sealing, surfaces to be sealed are being cleaned with known mechanical and chemical means.
The method for compensated sealing of large-size tank seats, especially for liquid fuels, according to the invention, allows for producing leak-proof, elastic and tough compensating coat. Thanks to the use of ground coats, penetrating to the ground, adherence of elastomer layer, especially polyurea, is increased and thanks to fast reticulation of elastomer, which lasts few up to tens seconds, the coat is ready directly after producing it.
System for compensated searing of big-sized tanks, especially for fluid fuels, according to the invention, creating the sealing around the tank seat, is characterized in that on the oblique layer of light, spherical aggregate, beneficially from leca, the unwoven fabric layer is placed, beneficially of propylene, at the same moment the upper segment of fabric is joint, beneficially by glue, with the vertical tank wall, whereas the lower segment of fabric is joint with the horizontal surface of drainage. Surface of fabric and segment of vertical tank wall, located above the upper segment of fabric and drainage segment are covered with elastomer layer, beneficially polyurea. Beneficially the thickness of elastomer layer is 1,0 to 2,0 mm.
System of compensated sealing of big-sized tanks seats, especially for liquid fuels, according to the invention, especially thanks to the use of elastomer, particularly polyurea elastomer, creates seamless, leak-proof and elastic cover of high abrasion resistance, resistant to chemical agents and weather conditions.
Invention is presented in example, where the fig.1 shows cross section of tank seat in the ground, fig. 2 - part of section from fig. 1.
System of compensated sealing of large-size tanks, especially for liquid fuels, creating the seal around the tank seat in ground 8, characterized in that on the oblique layer of spherical aggregate 3, beneficially leca, the layer of unwoved fabric 4 is placed, beneficially geo-fabric, at the same moment the upper segment a of fabric 4 is joint by glue with the vertical tank wall 2 of tank 1, whereas the lower segment b of fabric 4 is joint with the horizontal surface 5 of drainage 6. Surface of fabric 4 and segment c of vertical wall 2 of tank 1, above the upper segment a of fabric 4 and segment d of drainage 6 are covered with layer of polyurea elastomer 7. Thickness of polyurea elastomer 7 is between 1,0 and 2,0 mm.
