Abstract:
Provided is a method and a system for detecting a remote radiation dose rate by using a laser altimeter-based unmanned aerial vehicle. The method for detecting remote radiation, according to an embodiment of the present invention, allows flying over a radiation detection area and generating a contour map, and allows flying at changing altitudes on the basis of the contour map and measures the radiation dose rate in the radiation detection area. Therefore, the radiation dose rate is measured while allowing flying at changing altitudes on the basis of the contour map of the radiation detection area, such that the distance to geographic surface/features are consistent, thereby enabling accurate radiation dose rate data to be obtained on the basis of an actual measurement.
