A method of message routing for the localized mobility management network (LMM) includes the following steps: Local Mobility Anchor Point (LMA) confirms that both a sending end node and a receiving end node are in the region of LMM which is controlled by the LMA, then route optimization is started (301); the message to be sent to the receiving end node is transmitted by an access device connected with the sending end node to an access device connected with the receiving end node, rather than by the LMA, the access device connected with the receiving end node receives the message, then the message is transmitted to the receiving end node (302). Therefore, the method can realize route optimization, and reduces the time delay during transmitting. A system of message routing for the localized mobility management network includes a sending end node (410), a receiving end node (450), an access device (420) connected with the sending end node, an access device (440) connected with the receiving end node and Local Mobility Anchor Point (LMA) (430).
