Abstract:
A method and system for displaying red light and green light information in real time. The method comprises: a mobile terminal (200) acquiring the distance between the mobile terminal and a red light and green light tower (100), and receiving and displaying in real time red light and green light information sent by the red light and green light tower (100) when a pre-set distance threshold value is reached, wherein the red light and green light information comprises: a red light signal and count-down seconds corresponding to the red light signal, and/or a green light signal and count-down seconds corresponding to the green light signal; showing the red light and green light information to a vehicle driver in real time via the mobile terminal (200), so that the driver can learn about the front red light and green light state in a vehicle in real time via the mobile terminal (200) so as to make a judgement in time, and thus traffic accidents caused by the blocking of front vehicles are avoided; and the safety of the driver in the driving process is improved, and thus the safety and smoothness of vehicle travel at a traffic intersection are ensured.
