Abstract:
A method for transmitting cell ability across Iur interface, because the video call service is not allowed or the multimedia broadcast multicast service(MBMS) is not supported in the cell controlled by a drift radio network controller (DRNC), so when MBMS needs to return the failure message to the serving radio network controller (SRNC), the cause of failure is written in the returned message by the DRNC and the message is transmitted to the SRNC; and/or, the video call service ability indication information and/or the MBMS supporting ability indication information of the DRNC controlled cell are written in the indication information or the response information and the information is transmitted to the SRNC. A system and DRNC for transmitting cell ability across Iur interface are also disclosed by the present invention. The present invention realizes transmitting video call service ability, MBMS supporting ability across Iur interface, and a decision met the request better is made by the SRNC after knowing the DRNC cell ability
