Abstract:
A method for estimating the remaining capacity of a battery. The method for estimating the remaining energy storage capacity of a battery comprises: measuring an initial charging state (S0) at a first time point of a charging period of the battery, and measuring a final charging state (SF) at a second time point of the charging period, wherein the second time point is later than first time point; measuring energy (E) inputted to the battery between the first time point and the second time point of the charging period; and calculating, by using the initial charging state (S0), the final charging state (SF), and the energy (E) inputted to the battery, an index number of the remaining energy storage capacity of the battery. A system for estimating the remaining capacity of a battery is further provided. The system comprises a charging state recording module (10), an input energy measuring module (11), and a remaining energy storage capacity index number calculating module (12) for calculating an index number of remaining energy storage capacity of the battery.
