Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for automatically evaluating the driving behaviour of a motor vehicle driver. According to said method, accelerations and delays acting on the vehicle during driving are measured in a time-resolved manner and resolved according to the following directions: a) direction of travel, b) transversely to the direction of travel in a plane which is parallel to a road on which the vehicle is moving and c) transversely to the direction of travel and transversely to the plane of the road; the inclination of the vehicle in space is measured, and, after correcting for the gravitational acceleration detected at the same time, the accelerations and delays are compared with vehicle-dependent, predefinable limit values in a computation means. Keeping within the limit values of the computation means is evaluated as defensive driving, and exceeding the limit values is evaluated as offensive driving.
