Abstract:
Regenerating an exhaust gas recirculation cooler (316) is proposed. Exhaust gas is routed from a donor cylinder group (2,5,9,10) of an engine to an intake passage (306) of the engine through the exhaust gas recirculation cooler (316), exhaust gas from a non- donor cylinder group (1,3,4,6,7,8,11,12) of the engine is routed to an exhaust passage (310) of the engine, and fuel distribution among the donor cylinder group (2,5,9,10) and the non-donor cylinder group (1,3,4,6,7,8,11,12) is adjusted responsive to a temperature of the exhaust gas recirculation cooler (316).
