Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and a system for IMEI verification and unauthorized terminal detection in which an IMEI is verified on the basis of the content of a control plane message exchanged with a terminal in a mobile communication network during the process of the terminal connecting to a commercial network, the method comprising the steps of: constructing a fingerprint database for respective terminals using the content of control plane messages, generated during the process of the terminals connecting to a commercial network, and responses to the control plane messages; and verifying the IMEI of any terminal connecting to the commercial network using the fingerprint database.
