Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for measuring the viewing distance of a user. The method comprises the steps of: a television receives a remote control instruction sent by a remote control; the television parses the remote control instruction to obtain the average signal intensity of pre-loaded communication signals in the remote control instruction; the television calculates the distance between the television and the remote control according to the average signal intensity; when the distance is not within a set viewing distance range, the television generates prompt information to prompt the user to adjust the viewing distance. Also provided is a system for measuring the viewing distance of a user. The present invention improves the accuracy of measuring the viewing distance between a user and a television, and reduces the costs for measuring the viewing distance between the user and the television.
