A method and a system for navigating and dividing a cleaning region, a mobile robot, and a cleaning robot. The method comprises: measuring, on the basis of a range sensing device and an angle sensing device or a TOF measurement device and with respect to a mobile robot, an angle and a distance to an obstacle in a region in which the mobile robot is located, accurately determining position information of a candidate identification object in the region, enabling a camera device to acquire an image containing the candidate identification object, accordingly determining physical object information corresponding to the candidate identification object, and determining, according to the physical object information and position information thereof, a navigation route for the mobile robot in the region. A cleaning robot directly performs, after sufficiently accurate position information related to physical object information is acquired, precision navigation route planning and region division according to the physical object information, thereby enhancing accuracy of the navigation route planning and region division, and improving human machine interaction of mobile robots.
