Abstract:
A Method and a system for negotiating parameter of a dual tone multi-frequency signal between media gateways are provided, the method involves the following steps: A. setting the configuration parameters for dual-tone multi-frequency signal in IP bearer control protocol tunnel message; B. the media gateways are interacted with each other through the IP bearer control protocol tunnel message, and the negotiation treatment of the dual tone multi-frequency signal is executed by the media gateways according to configuration parameters of the dual tone multi-frequency signal. The system comprises a dual-tone multi-frequency signal parameters configuration module which is used for setting the configuration parameters for dual-tone multi-frequency signal in IP bearer control protocol tunnel message; the media gateways are interacted with each other through the IP bearer control protocol tunnel message, and the negotiation treatment of the dual tone multi-frequency signal is executed by the media gateways according to configuration parameters of the dual tone multi-frequency signal. The method for negotiating parameter of a dual tone multi-frequency signal between media gateways enables maintenance of the system in an easy and better manner.
