Abstract:
The present invention relates to the technical field of communications, and disclosed are a method and system for the non-destructive adjustment of OTN protection services. The present invention comprises the following steps: selecting an unprotected service to be adjusted, selecting the type, protection level and protection service properties of a protected service to be created, and creating a protection in the unprotected service. A protected service to be adjusted is selected, and the protection in the protected service is removed. By employing the technical solution of the present invention, a user is able to adjust an unprotected service to be a protected service and adjust a protected service to be an unprotected service without deactivating and removing the original service. Moreover, there is no influence on the actual connectivity of the original service, which thereby improves the usability for the user and improves the operating efficiency for a network administrator.
