Abstract:
A method and system for panoramic image file processing. The method comprises: converting a panoramic image into a longitude and latitude image (S101); splitting the longitude and latitude image and storing as a compressed stored image (S102); and restoring the compressed stored image into the panoramic image (S103). The method and system reduce data volume in the process of storing and transmitting the panoramic image file, increase the efficiency in compressing, storing, and transmitting the panoramic image file, and effectively utilize bandwidth resources.
