Abstract:
A method for implementing the playing of the ring back tone in the IP multimedia
subsystem (IMS) network is disclosed by the example of this invention, that the
IMS network saves the information of the ring back tone playing strategy, and
the information of the ring back tone playing strategy includes the corresponding
relationship between the id of the called user, the status information of the
called user and the id of the ring back tone, the method including the following
steps: after the network side receives the playing request of the ring back tone,
it obtains the current status information of the called user, and based on the
corresponding relationship determines the id of the ring back tone corresponding
to the id of the called user and the current status information of the called user,
and plays the ring back tone to the calling user. A system and a multimedia ring
back tone application server for implementing the playing of the ring back tone
in IP multimedia subsystem (IMS) network are also disclosed. Using this invention,
the ring back tone waiting to play can be selected based on the current status of
the called user, and the ring back tone can be played to the calling user.
