Abstract:
Disclosed are a method and system for realizing panorama mosaicking. The method comprises: acquiring synchronous image data from multiple channels; performing pre-processing on synchronous images of the respective channels captured at the same moment; using a feature extraction algorithm to extract respective feature points from the pre-processed synchronous images of the respective channels captured at the same moment, and calculating feature vectors for the respective extracted feature points; using a nearest neighbor matching algorithm to obtain, according to the feature vectors, homography matrixes between corresponding frames of the synchronous images of the respective channels captured at the same moment; performing, according to the obtained homography matrixes between the corresponding frames of the images, panorama mosaicking on the synchronous image data acquired from the multiple channels to obtain a real-time panorama; and outputting in real time the obtained real-time panorama to a terminal held by a user, thereby eliminating seams between images being mosaicked. The invention realizes display of a seamless panorama, and enables a user to obtain a seamless panorama in real time.
