Abstract:
A method for realizing the R3 interface relocation, which is applied to microwave access
global communication WiMAX network, including: a. the access service network
gateway ASN GW determines to relocate the R3 interface for the terminal it services
and triggers the mobile IP client corresponding to the terminal for registration;
b. the mobile IP client module requests for registration on the basis of the target
R3 interface determined by the ASN GW, so as to relocate the R3 interface. A system
for realizing the R3 interface relocation and the scheme for R3 interface relocation
are also disclosed. The scheme solves the problems in the prior art as the R3 interface
relocation is realized only in the case that MSS/SS causes the cell handing over.
