Abstract:
The present invention relates to a usage quota management technique in the technical field of communications. Disclosed are a method and system for sharing data plan usage quota of a mobile terminal. The method comprises: determining, by a usage quota sharing system according to a user instruction, a master card sharing usage quota and usage quota division information, wherein the usage quota division information comprises the quantity of usage quota packets to be divided and/or usage quota information of a single usage quota packet; generating, by the usage quota sharing system, usage quota packets according to the usage quota division information, while subtracting the sum of usage quota of all the usage quota packets from the master card; and issuing, by the usage quota sharing system, the generated usage quota packets to a user in the usage quota sharing system. The technical solution enables circulation of usage quota, thus avoiding waste of usage quota of a user, improving user experience and indirectly improving customer satisfaction of an operator.
