Abstract:
A method and system for packet handover processing, during the packet handover in mobile communication, when the handover failure occurs, the terminal determines the different failure reason value based on the different reason causing the handover failure. The invention also provides a terminal and a network for packet handover processing. Through the invention, the network can distinguish the handover failure caused by different failure reason definitely, then it can perform the handover control based on the different handover failure reasonably, and can optimize the assignment of the resource of the handover process reasonably. The invention solves the technology issue that the handover failure caused by different failure reason can not be distinguished in the prior art, and the technology issue that network can not perform the handover control based on the different handover failure reasonably. Otherwise, the invention solves the purpose that the different handover failure can not be corresponded to suited failure reason value in the current protocol.
