Abstract:
A method for visually inspecting a real mechanical part (PR) by an operator, the part being associated with a point cloud (NP) each defining a geographical position (POS) and a degree of geometric tolerance (DEG), the method comprises a step (ET1) of associating each point (Q) with a geometric tolerance range (T1-T4), a step (ET2) of forming a plurality of geometric surfaces from points (Q) associated with a geometric tolerance range (T1-T4), the geometric surfaces having the same colour, a step (ET3) of forming a composite image (IC) by associating all the geometric surfaces in order to recreate the outline of the real mechanical part (PR) and a step (ET4) of displaying said composite image (IC) in augmented reality on an image (IM) of said real mechanical part (PR) so as to assist the operator when inspecting geometric defects of the real mechanical part (PR).
