Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and a terminal for connecting to a network. The method comprises: the terminal receives at least one beacon message sent from at least one access point, each beacon message carrying a first identification associated with a first application and corresponding to the access point sending the beacon message; the terminal obtains at least one first identification according to at least one beacon message; the terminal determines whether at least one first identification is included in identifications bound by history of the first application installed on the terminal; and the terminal connects to the network according to the first identification when at least one first identification is included in identifications bound by history of the first application. Hence, in the method of connecting to a network provided by the present invention, the beacon message sent from the access point is received by the terminal, the identification of a specified application name is obtained according to the beacon message, and the network is connected according to the identification of the specified application name, which simplifies the network connecting operation, enables the user to establish a connection quickly, and enhances the user experience.
