Abstract:

Provided is a method for testing, using molecular markers, for a disease presenting a depressive state.　A method for testing for a disease presenting a depressive state, said method using, as an index, at least one selected from the group consisting of a methionine/methionine sulfoxide ratio, a kynurenine/tryptophan ratio, a glutamine/glutamic acid ratio, methionine sulfoxide, glutamic acid, aspartic acid, phosphorylcholine, glyceric acid, 5-oxoproline, 2-aminoisobutyric acid, N-methylnorsalsolinol, threonic acid, glycerophosphocholine, cystine, inositol monophosphate, glutamine, 3-phosphoglyceric acid, uridine, thiaproline, cis-ascot acid, 1-methyladenosine, glucose-6-phosphate, 5-methoxyindoleacetic acid, S-methylcysteine, and isethionic acid, which are in a body fluid collected from a subject.
