Abstract:
A method for testing an objective lens drive device tests the movement/tilt of an objective lens performed by the device.
A method for testing an objective lens drive device which is provided with: a base; an objective lens; a holder for holding on the base the objective lens; and a drive mechanism having a focus/tilt coil for driving the holder so that the objective lens moves in the focusing direction. The method comprises: a step in which laser light is emitted through the objective lens; a step in which the laser light emitted through the objective lens is caused to pass through an aperture (341) having a predetermined diameter; a step in which a drive voltage is applied to the drive mechanism, the drive voltage being adapted to move the holder between a first position at which the holder is located closest to a surface of the base and a second position at which the holder is located farther from the surface of the base than the first position; a step in which the laser light having passed through the aperture (341) is photoelectrically converted; and a step in which whether the quality of the objective lens drive device is acceptable or not is determined on the basis of a signal after the photoelectrical conversion.
