Patent Claim
The method of the tight wall panel welding, in particular the industrial boiler panels, characterized with, the fact that to join the tight wall panels, in particular industrial boiler panels, a fibre laser and laser bearn were used, or laser beam with a hot or cold wire addition, or MAG hybrid system with a laser beam, while the wlding operation is performed as one-sided butt welding 'I' type without bevelling at the speed over 1 m/min while the panel are preheated in temperatures from 100 0 C to 200 0 C. |
Method of Tight Wall Panel Welding in Particular Industrial Boiler Systems
The subject of the Invention is a method of the tight wall panel welding, in particular the walls industrial boilers used in the power industry.
Currently, the tight wall panels are welded with employed submerged arc welding method, using two or four head machines. The welding operation is performed under the flux as a double sided welding with welding process rate of ca. 1 m/min.
The tight wall panel welding method, in particular of the industrial boiler systems for the power industry according to the Invention would involve use of the fibre laser for joining the tight wall panels and use of the laser beam or the laser beam with addend hot or cold wire or a MAG hybrid system beam with the laser beam. The welding is performed as a one-sided butt joint, T type without bevelling with welding speed over 1 m/min while the panels are preheated in temperature of 100-200 0 C.
The disclosed method would enable performing of a one-siαeα weiαing, wiτn or without additional materials and this would ensure increasing of the welding operation speed to exceed 1m/min, while no interoperation time occur within the welding process. The process results in obtaining of a thorough penetration joint with minimum weld deformation with a limited, narrow heat affected zone occurring at the same time.
Realization Example
Panels made of S235GH steel - D 57x5 mm tube joined with 20x5mm Flat section. The joint completed as T type butt joint with welding speed of 5 m/min. A 10 kW fibre laser was used to carry out the welding operation as well as the inert gas shielding. Obtained joints were met the requirements of 'B' class PN - EN - ISO 5817. The hardness did not exceed 350HV.
