Abstract:
A method for tracking finger web position, comprising: acquiring a depth image and a colour image of the same image recording the hand of a user (S1); extracting the outer contour of the hand from the depth image (S2); selecting from contour points between adjacent fingertips of the outer contour the contour point with the furthest direct line connecting adjacent fingertips to be a contour inflection point (S3); using the contour inflection point as a current finger web position, using the colour image to perform iterative correction of the current finger web position and acquire an output finger web position (S4). The present method can accurately track finger web position information from image data.
