Abstract:
The invention relates to the electric-power industry and can be used for producing thermal and electric energy and for measuring a temperature of a liquid or gas flow. The aim of the invention is to increase the performance of a vortex tube based on a Ranke effect and extend the functional capabilities thereof for producing electric energy. The inventive methods for transforming energy of a moving liquid or gas flow in the vortex tube using the Ranke effect are carried out by an additional heating of the liquid or gas in the hot part of the vortex tube and/or an additional production of electric energy taken from windings (10) arranged inside a body (1) of the vortex tube, said tube being made of a dielectric material. The inventive vortex tube for carrying out said method comprises a tubular body (1) provided with a cyclone (3) in the end thereof. Said cyclone is connected to the body by the end side thereof. Though, the body is not connected to ground and made of a non-conductive material having electrostatic properties.
