Abstract:
A method for translating the call to IP Voice service and the system thereof. According to the invention in the dual-mode network including cdma2000 1x and HRPD, after the dual-mode terminal is switched between the cdma2000 1x network and the HRPD network, it registers its location in MSC/VLR of the cdma2000 1x network. After MSC receives the call requesting comprising the called subscriber number, it determines if the called terminal is in the HRPD network. If it is, MSC acquires the VoIP address corresponding with the called terminal, and addresses the corresponding VoIP gateway according to the VoIP address so that performs IP Voice service in the HRPD network. According to the invention, the consumed power of the terminal would reduced greatly, and the ongoing data service in the HRPD network also wouldn’t be interrupted in the case of no cdma2000 1x voice call, so that the service quality would be improved greatly.
