Abstract:
A method for implementing a high-data-rate orthogonal frequency-division
multiplex (OFDM) wireless local area network and the system thereof belong to
the wireless communication technical field. In the implementing method and
system, a transmitting station transmits data by using different signal modulation
modes for OFDM sub channels; in one error correcting code way, the modulation
mode used by each sub channel is determined by a receiving station based on the
signal-to-noise ratio or channel gain of each OFDM sub channel; the modulation
mode information used by each sub channel (sub channel - modulation mode information)
is transmitted from the receiving station to the transmitting station through
one of the following two ways of: (1) the request-response way between the transmitting
station and the receiving station, (2) the receiving station transmitting it
to the transmitting station on its own initiative under the case of no request.
