Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for transmitting an omnidirectional video according to one aspect of the present invention. The method for transmitting an omnidirectional video according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of: acquiring an image for omnidirectional video; projecting the image for omnidirectional video onto a three-dimensional projection structure; packing the image projected onto the three-dimensional projection structure into a two-dimensional frame; encoding the image packed into the two-dimensional frame; and transmitting the encoded image and data signal comprising metadata for the omnidirectional video.
