Title:
METHOD FOR TREATING ALCOHOLISM AND/OR SMOKING
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2005/032635
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The invention relates to medicine, in particular to psychotherapy and narcology. The inventive method for treating alcoholism and/or smoking by discursive psychotherapy consists in increasing a motivation for treatment and convincing a patient in a possible recovery, forming a negative association reflex to alcohol and/or smoking and a positive attitude to a sober life-style. Afterwards, the inventive method consists mechanically stimulating a biologically active point shen-tin, transferring the patient in a meditation state, in carrying out a verbal suggestive action based on said state for rejection of the alcohol and/ or tobacco use and in producing a suggestion formula by pressing on a bay-huay point. Afterwards, a powder-placebo is shown to the patient by convincing him that it exhibits healing properties, reduces the attraction to alcohol and/ or smoking and in orally introducing said powder, pressing on a Ya-men point and repeating the suggestion formula. A course of treatments consists of four treatment sessions. For the third session, the placebo is embodied in the form of distilled water which is cutaneously injected in a Sin-shu point verbally providing it with a capability to remove the attraction to alcohol and/ or smoking.
