Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for treating a biological sample such as a formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sample, which is simple and is suitable for the treatment of many samples. More specifically, the present invention provides a method for extracting a desired molecule, the method comprising steps (1) and (2) as mentioned below: (1) heating a solution that contains a biological sample containing the desired molecule and also contains a first ionic surfactant; and (2) mixing the heated solution with a second ionic surfactant that contains an ionic moiety having an electrical charge opposite to that of an ionic moiety in the first ionic surfactant.
