Abstract:
Provided is a method for treating a fibrous material with which it is possible to treat a fibrous material using a fiber treatment agent in a manner that is more economical in that the time required and the energy loss are reduced, and with which it is possible to obtain a treated product of excellent uniformity. A treatment liquid inside a treatment tank (1) is suctioned into a circulation line (10) and a fabric is subjected to adsorption treatment by being immersed in the treatment liquid as the treatment liquid is being circulated and the temperature is being adjusted by a heat exchanger (11). The treatment liquid being used for treatment is circulated to a concentration measurement device (23) and the intensity of the light transmitted by the treatment liquid in a predetermined wavelength region is measured as the concentration of fiber treatment agent contained in the treatment liquid. In addition, the percentage of fiber treatment agent adsorbed by the fibrous material and the adsorption speed are calculated on the basis of the measured light intensity and the treatment conditions are controlled on the basis of the calculated adsorbed percentage and adsorption speed.
