Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for treating mixed seaweed waste using Bacillus alcalophilus KACC91705P having seaweed-derived polysaccharide degrading activity and protein degrading activity. The present invention not only is capable of producing reducing monosaccharides, such as galactose and glucose, and oligosaccharides from many types of waste seaweed mixtures or byproducts which are difficult to treat and which are formed during seaweed processing or during extraction, thus having an advantageous effect of recycling the same as bioactive substances, in bioethanol production, or the like, but also is effective in solving environmental problems due to being capable of effectively treating mixed seaweed waste.
