Abstract:
Provided is a method for treating oil sludge, which is highly efficient and has a low environmental load. A step of adding sodium silicate (silicate soda) and a polyoxyethylene alkyl ether-type surfactant to a slurry containing oil sludge and then stirring the resultant mixture is carried out. In this manner, an oily component can be separated from oil sludge such as mill sludge produced in an iron making process.
