Abstract:
The invention relates to the technology of treating industrial and domestic waste and can be applied in the chemical industry as well as in the power generation sector as a way of using plastic and polymer waste. The claimed method involves: melting down the plastic waste in an atmosphere of superheated steam and thermal destruction of the waste at a temperature of 400-500 �C in a multi-layered inert material whose particles diminish in size, layer by layer and in the direction of flow of the melt, from 3.83 to 0.12 mm; and the removal and condensation of the gaseous products.
