Abstract:
A method of treating silicon-containing wastewater produced during a process of manufacturing a molecular sieve or catalyst comprises: contacting the silicon-containing wastewater with at least one acid or at least one alkali to enable at least a part of silicon elements in the silicon-containing wastewater to form a colloid; obtaining a mixture containing the colloid; performing a solid-liquid separation procedure to obtain a silicon-containing solid phase and a first liquid phase; after precipitating at least a part of metal elements in the first liquid phase, performing a solid-liquid separation procedure to obtain a solid phase and a second liquid phase; and performing electrodialysis on at least a part of the second liquid phase to obtain an acidic solution and/or an alkaline solution. The silicon-containing solid phase can be used as a raw material for synthesizing a molecular sieve. The second liquid phase can be used as washing water during a molecular sieve washing procedure. The acidic solution can be used in a molecular sieve ion exchange procedure. The alkaline solution can be used as an alkali source during molecular sieve synthesis. Also disclosed are a method of utilizing silicon-containing wastewater, and a molecular sieve manufacturing method and system.
