Abstract:

The invention concerns a method of treating surface-contaminated, in particular oil-contaminated, sands, fine sands and coarse clays in the 20-200 mu m range, the materials first undergoing preliminary cleaning by wet disintegration and separation of the finest grains < 10 mu m) and low-density organic components. The proposed process is characterized by the fact that the highly concentrated suspension undergoes grinding in a stirring vessel containing microscopic grinding bodies (0.2-2 mm).
