Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for treating wastewater containing ammonia, wherein the method enables the effective removal of ammonia from wastewater even at low cost, by comprising the steps of: supplying treatment water containing free ammonia in a gas state to a first region defined on the basis of a first gas-liquid separation membrane and supplying an acidic aqueous solution through one side of a second region defined on the basis of the first gas-liquid separation membrane, thereby moving the free ammonia to the second region and allowing the free ammonia to react with the acidic aqueous solution located in the second region to produce an ammonium ion-dissolved acidic aqueous solution; recovering at least a portion of the produced ammonium ion-dissolved acidic aqueous solution through the other side of the second region; re-supplying the ammonium ion-dissolved acidic aqueous solution, recovered through the other side of the second region, to one side of the second region, thereby moving the free ammonia in the first region to the second region and allowing the free ammonia to react with the ammonium ion-dissolved acidic aqueous solution located in the second region to additionally dissolve ammonium ions therein; and recovering at least a portion of the ammonium ion-additionally dissolved acidic aqueous solution through the other side of the second region.
