Abstract:
The elution of an alkaline component from the inner surface of a glass container can be prevented without the need of using any corrosive gas such as a sulfurous acid gas.
The inside of the glass container is washed with pure water, tap water, warm water, an acid solution, an organic solvent having a polar group or the like, a polysilazane solution is applied onto the inner surface of the glass container, and the inner surface is dried and sintered. In this manner, the elution of an alkaline component from the inner surface of the glass container can be prevented without the need of using any corrosive gas. When the inner surface is washed with tap water, warm water or an acid solution, the inner surface is further washed with pure water.
