Abstract:
This method for truing a rotary grindstone involves truing an external peripheral surface of a rotary grindstone while moving the position of a truer with respect to the rotary grindstone from one end side in the shaft direction of the rotary grindstone to the other end side. During the truing, the relative movement speed of the truer when truing a position on an external peripheral surface of the rotary grindstone for grinding a large-diameter part of a conical surface of a workpiece is less than a relative movement speed of the truer when truing a position on an external peripheral surface of the rotary grindstone for grinding a small-diameter part of the conical surface of the workpiece.
