Abstract:
This method for understanding damage of a bearing comprises: a measurement step for measuring, by using an ECT device, at least one first measurement position P1 on a raceway surface (10) of a bearing (1) and at least one second measurement position P2 on a reference surface (11) different from the raceway surface (10) of the bearing (1); and a determination step for determining the damage level of the bearing by comparing the measuring results in the measurement step with reference values corresponding to measurement values, by the ECT device, on a raceway surface (10) and a reference surface (11) of a bearing (1) that is equivalent to new.
