Abstract:
A method for updating a security context and a communication device. The method is performed by a terminal, and comprises: when first access of a terminal and second access of the terminal enter a de-registration state, storing a security content of the first access and a security context of the second access, wherein the first access is one of 3GPP access and non-3GPP access, the second access is the other of the 3GPP access and the non-3GPP access, and the first access is different from the second access. According to the method, the timing for storing NAS security contexts corresponding to the 3GPP access and the non-3GPP access when the terminal supports multiple records under multiple registrations is specified.
