Abstract:
A method for use of a role in a database, comprising: creating one or more databases in a system; creating one or more roles in the system, the role being an independent individual rather than a group/category, wherein one role can be associated with a unique user in a period of time only while one user may be associated with one or more roles; and selecting one or more roles for each database which needs a database administrative role to be configured, as one or more database administrative roles. A user obtains permissions by means of associated roles thereof. In the cases of entry, reassignment, or resignation of an employee, the invention establishes an association relationship between the user corresponding to the employee and corresponding roles or cancels the association relationship, and accordingly realizes permission granting, permission changing or permission canceling with regard to the user corresponding to the employee, such that when an employee responsible for database work changes his or her position, the working permissions of the employee could be quickly and conveniently handed over, without mistakes or hysteresis.
