Abstract:
A method for using IP address of the roaming user and a user terminal thereof are disclosed, and the method comprises the following steps: a roaming user obtains the route strategy information from the visit network; the roaming user judges whether the service can use the route optimization function according to the route strategy information, and selects the IP address allocated by the home network or the visit network for the roaming user. In the present invention, the roaming user obtains the routing strategy information when attaching to the visit network, and registers or uses the IP address allocated by the home network for the roaming user and the IP address allocated by the visit network for the roaming user according to whether the route optimization function can be used by the service when initiating service register or performing service register, which solves the register and use problem of the two IP addresses.
