Abstract:

A method of the utilization of a bactericidal composition characterized by treating seeds of a subject plant or a cultivation carrier for sowing the subject plant with an effective amount of a composition containing, as the active ingredient, one or more member selected from among 1,2,3-thiadiazole derivatives represented by general formula (I) and salts thereof: wherein R?1¿ represents H, (C¿1-6?)alkyl or C¿3-7? cycloalkyl; and R?2¿ represents CO-Y-R?3¿ (wherein R?3¿ represents H, (halo)(C¿1-20?)alkyl, (halo)(C¿2-20?)alkenyl, (substituted) carbamoyl (C¿1-6?)alkyl, (substituted) phenyl, (substituted) phenyl (C¿1-6?)alkyl, a 5- to 6-membered heterocycle having one or more hetero atoms selected from among O, S and N, etc.). This method is superior in the effect of controlling disease injury such as $i(Pyricularia orizae) to the foliage application treatment.
