Abstract:

The present invention relates to a compact secondary battery module comprising: a cartridge assembly in which a plurality of cartridges storing cells therein are stacked, the side walls of each cartridge having a plurality of lead welding parts, in which a first lead and a second lead of neighboring cells overlap, arranged in a previously set pattern; and a sensing housing which is provided with a plurality of bus bars each positioned to correspond to a lead welding part so as to allow welding, and which can be arranged on a side wall of the cartridge assembly, wherein when the sensing housing is being attached to the cartridge assembly, welding is done from the direction of the bus bar with the first lead, second lead and bus bar positioned sequentially in the side wall of the cartridge to the outside direction.
