Title:
METHOD FOR WELDING PROCESSED MATERIAL DURING WIRE ELECTRIC DISCHARGE MACHINING
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/187201
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for welding processed material during wire electric discharge machining in which a workpiece and processed material are welded in a specified region of the thickness direction of the workpiece to temporarily hold the processed material on the workpiece. This method for welding processed material is configured: to form an inclined surface (30) in the workpiece (6) by tilting the wire electrode (5) at an electric discharge site of a processing form (21) of the workpiece (6) and then make the wire electrode (5) to be perpendicular and perform a welding process on the rough-processed surface of the workpiece (6) along the inclined surface (30); to be capable of forming welded sections (20) of a specified length at multiple sites of a previously determined region in the thickness direction of the workpiece (6); and to temporarily hold the processed material (26) on the workpiece (6) even when the processed material (26) is heavy or multiple workpieces (6) are stacked and processed by electric discharge machining, by accordingly forming appropriate welded sections (20) in the thickness direction of the workpiece (6).
